What's the scoop!! What do we do first?

First thing you do, is set up a phone call with me to address any questions you have and help you figure out dates for your session!! Some parents want more information before deciding to book, but most get all the details and book their session date right over the phone. I want to know your story, what's important to you and all about your little one(s)! Everyone is different and I must admit that getting to know the families is one of my favourite parts of the entire experience!!

The Process of The Experience

To book your session, we require a retainer (half your collection) to secure your session date and time. Once that payment is received, YOU ARE IN!! The rest of the payment is due the day of your session. If you choose to add additional items to your collection, you can do so. :) It is so fun to see what people do with their images. Some do, canvas wall art, others do bedside table keepsake crystal cubes and some get grandparent prints. It is so awesome to see your little peanuts in print.

After The Session

Once the session is done, I begin all the behind the scenes work. Your images will be professionally edited. My goal is to get these images in your hands as soon as possible as I know your little ones grow up fast!!

Once your images are edited and ready, you will receive an email with your Online Digital Gallery with all your gorgeous family images and the memories you have created! You will pick your favourite images and keepsake products. These products will become amazing reminders of the milestones in your life. After all the nitty gritty business talk about payment, I design your artwork and products for you. Once they are completed and ready, I will send you an email!

Next, you will fill out a questionnaire all about your family, but also! This is for me to get to know all about you and your family but also so you can tell me anything you think I should know about your little ones. This comes in handy when I meet them and do my best to gain their trust.

On the day of the session, I start by introducing myself to everyone and try to earn the trust of the kiddos by usually making jokes and finding out some to bond over. After that when we are ready to start, you will see me kind of wonder and look around. Don't be alarmed, I am just looking for the perfect spot to start the session. Once the perfect spot is found, we start the session and the magic begins!!

For outdoor sessions, I aim to shoot at golden hour when the lighting is dreamy and perfect. This time is around sunset, starting a couple hours before sunset. When it comes to In Home Family Sessions and Lifestyle Newborn Sessions , I shoot in the morning as the sun is in the perfect spot and creates such smooth and clean look to the photos. I also photograph newborns as this time because newborns are more comfortable, relaxed and better in the morning after they have had a snack.

I always love when our clients are so excited about their experience with me that they refer their friends! I offer a program where you and your friend both get gifts when you send them my way and they book! This is a little way for me to say thank you and show my appreciation :)
