Meet the Henderson family!

This family session was amazing for many reasons! It was little Miss Elliott’s second birthday, a milestone for the family and an opportunity to get some updated photos as they didn’t have any from the time Elliott was a baby until this day!

When I arrived, everyone was decorating the house for Elliott’s birthday party that was later that day! The theme, Mikey Mouse and Goofy. As you scroll through this blog, you will notice Goofy as he is Miss E’s FAVOURITE!!! When I arrive at sessions, especially sessions with small children, I always take some time to play with kids and get to know them so that they get comfortable with me being around and aren’t shy when we start taking photos. When I pulled my camera out, Elliott was all about it. She ran right up to my lens and gave me a HUGE smile! So was so into it, that I pulled out an old camera out of my bag for her to take her own photos with. She walked around taking photos of her mommy, daddy and of course, Goofy!

We spent the rest of our time together playing in the backyard; playing on the slide, playing airplane, blowing bubbles, singing Moana songs, munching on some sour skittles and having some cuddles. It was truly a great afternoon!! I love these kinds of session because I get to not only hangout with some amazing families like this one, but I get to learn so much about them along the way and what they love to do together.
